New Decade, New You

What's it all about

The day will provide an introduction to equine assisted learning for personal development and performance whether it is within horsemanship or other areas of your life.

  • Come along and learn how being with the horse can help you discover who you are, what and how you think and how you see your world around you.  Learn how these thoughts, observations and experiences shape your behaviours and outcomes.

  • Consider the importance of appropriate goal setting and how the values you hold dear assist or hinder their achievement.

  • Discover what beliefs you hold true, what holds you back and what moves you forwards.  Learn how the language you use when describing these beliefs can either limit you or empower you.

  • Learn to use a model that illustrates how your thinking affects your feelings, behaviour, habits and results.  Learn tools and techniques to start making positive steps to achieving these new results.

Who’s it for

Anyone who:

  • Is interested in how they make sense of their own thoughts, feelings and emotions.

  • Experiences under or over confidence in given situations.

  • Lacks direction in their lives or are stuck in a rut, can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel or simply looking for things to click into place.

  • Wants to think outside the box and discover more spontaneity and creativity in their thinking.

  • Wants to improve communication, rapport and relationship skills.

What to expect

A relaxed, safe atmosphere where you will be supported and guided towards new goals with a focus to the future, not on the past.  You will not be made to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with but encouraged to do things you never thought possible!

  • The morning session will involve a presentation on the principles behind the work, individual and group discussion and exercises without horses (although with props!)

  • The afternoon session will involve individual and group work with horses to provide experiential learning and feedback of the mornings discoveries.

You will finish the day with a fresh set of insights and an individual plan to progress further in all areas of your life through qualified* coaching tools, tips and techniques.

What you need to bring

  • An enquiring attitude and a readiness to explore new and exciting possibilities.

  • Riding hat and suitable footwear and clothing for outside weather conditions.
