Facilities

The facilities at Smeltings Farm Riding Centre include an indoor arena, outdoor arena, lunging ring, lecture room with up-to-date training aids, purpose built jumping paddock, large selection of show jumps and variety of cross-country fences.

Our heated lecture room incorporates modern training aids including a large flat panel television, complete with PC interface for dynamic and effective visual displays.  The location of the lecture room also allows easy access to the indoor arena for integration of classroom and practical training.

Our jump paddock is a post and rail grass paddock approx. 60m x 50m and during the summer months has a set of modern show jumps laid out.

Both arenas and the round pen have sand/rubber surfaces giving a safe and forgiving riding surface. The round pen, at 20m diameter, is excellent for lunging or groundwork.   

Most of our facilities are available for use by our livery clients at no additional charge.
